Through my work as a doula, I aspire to create a ripple effect of positive change, not only in individual birth experiences but also in the broader landscape of maternal healthcare. By amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, challenging systemic inequalities, and fostering a space of inclusivity and support, I am committed to building a future where every birthing person receives the care and respect they deserve.

Why am I a Doula?

My passion for childbirth was definitely influenced by my mother. She delivered my younger sister and I in a birthing center with a midwife and doula team to support her. I grew up hearing those stories and looking at her birth scrapbooks and always loved birth videos. I’ve know about the magic of doulas and midwives my entire life!

Despite that I never really considered this line of work until I experienced a miscarriage. Like many of us, that experience left me hurt, sad and confused, ultimately leading me to drop out of college and really questioning what the heck am I doing… that was in 2016. Since then I emerged myself in the birth world online, I educated myself on the alarming maternal mortality rates, especially among the Hispanic and BIPOC communities. I’ve witnessed the negative stigma society placed around birth. I am driven by a desire to shift the narrative surrounding childbirth!

I firmly believe that birth is a natural, beautiful process—a transformative moment in a person's life. By offering un-biased support and advocating for informed decision-making, I strive to ensure that every individual feels empowered, respected, and heard during this amazing journey.

I want to make a difference in these statistics, I want all birthing people to experience the autonomous birth they deserve!
